Objective
The objective of the training is comprehensive preparation for therapeutic work and facilitation of group processes based on the theory and methods of process work.
The program meets the standards set by the Polish Psychotherapy Council (www.prp.org.pl) and the IAPOP Training Council (International Association of Process Oriented Psychology, http://www.iapop.com)
Basis
The basis of therapeutic work and group work that we teach students is:
- empathic contact and respect for the uniqueness of each person,
- following the process – discovering solutions and development opportunities hidden in current problems and experiences
- the idea of "deep democracy" – belief in the importance and value of each experience appearing in the experience of individuals and groups
What do we teach
- understanding the vision of people and the world in the concept of process psychology (including objective reality, subjective experience and transpersonal experiences)
- observing, recognizing and understanding human experience in its various manifestations
- the ability to recognize repetitive patterns as part of a changing process (applies to individuals, couples, families, groups)
- noticing potential solutions as an aspect of emerging problems and difficulties
- using a wide range of therapeutic interventions, including both working at the level of information (word therapy) and working through experience in various modalities (movement, body experience, visual and auditory signals, role-playing work and others)
- tailoring interventions to the individual style, needs and phase of the client's process
- using the achievements of various psychotherapeutic approaches and knowledge in the field of psychopathology in a manner adapted to the individual process of a given client
- methods for developing self-awareness
- interpersonal skills and working with conflicts
- understanding group phenomena at the level of signals and hidden patterns in the field
- facilitation of group work
